Lightman Residence / Looking At Art Gallery

Houston, TX   1994

This 5000 SF galvalume-clad compound forms an 'L' on a corner in a mixed use neighborhood near downtown Houston. The gallery and main house occupy one leg, while the studio, garage and apartment are contained in the other. At the intersection of the two wings, a covered third floor roof deck provides a view of the city skyline and serves as the 'Grand Finale' party spot for gallery exhibitions and classes.
