Saint Arnold

Saint Arnold Beer Garden & Restaurant

Houston, TX 2018

Inspired by the scale of existing industrial context, the long pre-engineered steel building provides rhythm, structure and shelter to the entire program, while a continuous cupola brings light and ventilation to the center. The traditional stepped form is native to production facilities and churches alike, celebrating the legacy of Arnold, Bishop of Metz and Patron Saint of Brewers. From Art Car display along Lyons Avenue to the beer garden at the south, the corrugated skin is punctuated and perforated to dissolve towards the iconic Houston’s skyline view used in Saint Arnold’s logo.
