This beloved family retreat on a 2,000 acre ranch was doubled in size and completely remodeled to accommodate two brothers’ growing extended families. Primary goals were forging an ever stronger connection to the land through more open interiors, capturing natural light and views, and enhancing the sense of family heritage. In a comfortable, modern interpretation of a ranch house, the team of NA+AA, Lucas Eilers Design Associates, Dawson Estes, Inc., Landscape Architecture, and Jefferson Christian Custom Homes utilized rustic, durable materials, furnishings and art, all contributing to the home’s sense of place in the Texas landscape.
